Our 6mm twin wall polycarbonate sheets are a popular choice for greenhouse glazing, side entrance roofs and smaller covered areas in Ireland. Combining exceptional impact resistance with superior thermal insulation, these sheets offer 200 times the strength of glass with 82% light transmission and a co-extruded UV protective layer on the outer surface for long-lasting performance.

Applications

Greenhouse Glazing: The most popular use for 6mm multiwall polycarbonate. The twin wall structure traps air between its two layers, providing excellent insulation for polycarbonate sheets for greenhouses - keeping heat in during cooler months while diffusing direct sunlight to protect plants.

Side Entrance Roofs: 6mm sheets are well suited to covering side passages and side entrances - a common domestic application where the span is modest and a lightweight, easy-to-fit solution is needed.

Small Canopies and Lean-To Roofs: Suitable for compact canopy roofs and lean-to structures with shorter rafter spans. Maximum rafter spacing for 6mm sheets is 450mm.

Agricultural Structures: Suitable for greenhouse tunnels and polytunnel end panels where natural light and weather resistance are priorities.

Planning a larger roof? For pergolas, carports, verandas and larger canopy spans we recommend 10mm twinwall or 16mm triplewall polycarbonate for greater rigidity and spanning ability.
