Why Choose Hygienic Cladding Sheets
The characteristic smooth, easy clean and durable surface of Marvec make it the ideal cladding material for walls and ceilings. It transforms normal wall finishes into an even, cleanable surface which is impervious to the ingress of dirt.
Manufactured from light weight PVCu, it is easy to handle, cut and bond making installation straight forward and simple. Moisture, impact and chemical resistance ensure that our hygenic wall and ceiling cladding continues to perform as a hygiene cladding material in even the most challenging of commercial, agricultural and domestic environments.
Material benefits of PVC Cladding Sheets
Tough and Durable
Marvec’s hard surface is resistant to cracking and splitting. It also provides excellent protection against abrasion to maintain a hygienically smooth cleanable surface.
Hygienic Smooth Easy Clean Surface
The smooth continuous surface is stain-resistant and very easy to wipe clean. With excellent chemical resistance, Marvec Clading products can be cleaned with typical non-abrasive cleaning products and disinfectants.
Water Resistant
Marvec cladding being non-absorbent provides a water resistant barrier and will not rust or corrode. As it is unaffected by moisture it is highly suitable for use in cladding applications which are subject to high levels of condensation such as bathrooms and kitchens.
Excellent Fire Performance
Marvec has excellent fire performance properties, please contact the Technical Department of Access Plastics for details.
Ease Of Installation
Light in weight, Marvec cladding is easy to transport, handle and install. It requires only standard tools for cutting and drilling; flat sheets are easily bonded to substrates. Fast and flexible to install, the Marvec cladding range is ideal for the professional or DIY installer.
Anti Bacterial
The efficacy of the anti-microbial properties of Marvec FS Bio has been tested to ISO 22196 (JIS Z 2801).
Chemical Resistance
Marvec FS has excellent resistance to most chemicals including dilute acids and alkalis, alcohols, glycols, atmospheric pollutants and most cleaning solutions. Contact with solvents and wet wood preservatives should be avoided. It does not corrode or rot and is not attacked by pests.
Service Temperature
The service temperature range of Marvec FS is -20˚C to +60˚C. Greater care should be taken when working with PVC sheet at lower temperatures: PVC is less resistant to impact damage at lower temperatures. It should not be installed near heat sources such as cookers and heating boilers as these could cause distortion and damage.
Cleaning
Non abrasive cleaning solutions are suitable for cleaning Marvec FS.
Installation
It is essential to maintain consistency of appearance when fitting Marvec FS. This is best achieved when:
• Ideally, on any project only sheets from the same production batch are used.
• Otherwise never mix sheets from different batches on the same wall.
• Use sheets in the same orientation throughout. As a guide the text on branded protective film should always be the same way up.
• Where the protective film is unprinted, the same end of every sheet on a pallet or bundle should be fitted at floor level.
